Antonio’s background in film production, mobile software programming, advertising agency work, campaigns for non-profit institutions, creative project advocacy, and corporate leadership places him in a unique position to helm Innovent’s key expertise – transmedia storytelling. He founded Delirium Designz, a multimedia consultancy attracting leading Australian interactive projects. At the SAE Institute, he lectured, authored and structured courses ranging from Certificate IV in IMM to BA (hons) in Multimedia. Also as CTO of Net Ventures, he was charged with architecting BigPond TV, a first in kind media platform delivering streaming long tail videos in 2003. At his time in NetVentures, Antonio secured Seed and Series A funding for spinoff subsidiaries Creative Ad Technology & Monteur. He also has received numerous international patents in the field of media delivered over RTSP & TCP/IP networks.
Kaplan’s Portfolio of work in the Independent Film industry began in 2007 as he founded Australia’s first film only Ad agency, providing creative strategy on several Screen Australia backed features. Expansion into the US market has led to participation as a keynote speaker at SXSW, facilitating the transmedia platform strategy for the first ever transmedia project at Sundance with Lance Weiler and “Pandemic 1.0″
He has worked throughout his career with nonprofit institutions raising awareness through transmedia From Sundance’s ”When I walk” independent film “producers to a more traditional application at the Art Gallery of NSW Kaplan can also code mobile apps overnight. Recently, he was chosen to speak at the Bay Area Video Coalition (BAVC) Producers Institute conference (2011), where introduced concepts utilising Near Field Communications (NFC) technologies for entertainment purposes.
